I noticed the placement of their trim spacer actually compresses the spring. What is up with that. And my question is... Is the height actually adjustable, or is adding the 15mm (15mmx2=1.4 inches) spacer just like clevis lift? In essence could I not just get ome struts and fab a "trim packer"?? Cause like I am whits end trying to hit 22.5... It either comes up 21 or 24... Which is retarded. |

Two different things, the trim spacers actually raise the rate of the springs, so while it may raise some the main purpose is for say heavier bumpers/ winches etc. Not sure why you are at wits end to hit 22.5 heck thats easy to do. Not an issue at all if using the right parts |

At one point I had the daystar 2.5, 1/4 top plate, 3 c-nuts, rustys strut, and the ironman coil and it came up 24 inches, I ditched the daystar the. I got 20. I put the daystar top plate in, I got 21. I put 3 conduit nuts in.. And it didn't do anything lol. Eye roll. That is an assload of messing around when I gotta take the strut out and run it down to the shop to compress it, take it apart, metal band it, and then run it home again. Over and over and over and over. I am beginning to think my problem is the rustys strut isn't compatible with the ironman coil.. I tell you, with just the daystar top plate and the ironman coil... It rides soooooooooooooo smooth. Like Lincoln mkx smooth. Maybe even smoother. No bs. |

Rustys used to just use the OME front shocks and put one of their stickers on it, I assume they still do that. If it has a sticker/ decal somewhere pull it off and see whats under it I've never had any of the issues you have had doing any of the lifts here. Would know before I started exactly where it would be when done |

I peeled the warning label off before installing it last year and there was nothing under it. I'm gonna try one more time. Then it's adjust a strut time. |

Have you tossed the Daystar top mount yet? If so get rid of that Then with .500 clevis ( only used with Ironman springs) and 1/4 inch top plate you're good |

The jeep has been down for the Easter weekend. Doing something special in the rear end I am sure you guys will find interesting. But the top plates are on the way out ASAP. I just needed new studs for the factory ones. |

Half inch clevis you say? The underside of my strut body, just below where the spring sits. There is the the portion where the clevis split collar mounts to the strut. There is a provision on the strut that stops the split collar from riding all the way up to the spring perch. Do I put .500 from the bottom of the provision, or .500 from the spring perch? |

BEFORE you slide the bottom of the shock down into the clevis you install the clevis spacer |

Like no kidding. I spent 4 days straight, spring out, spring in, spring out... Even put a day star in with the kit... (Don't get me started on that retarded waste of money) I can't get it over 22 inches no matter what I do. I am so pissed. Iron clad warranty is starting to sound really good. |

Never had am issue with Ironman like I said the first one out we set to be 3.5-3.75 inches of lift and it settled in at a little over 3.5 still like that today over 2 years later With all that you've done swapped changed redid and hashed over I'm lost as to where you are now ![]() |

The kj currently has 3 conduit nut clevis, iron load c, and daystar top plate. It is parked for the moment until I can get all this *h** squared away. I am really pissed about it lol, in a goofy kinda way. Can you do me a fav.. And list *exactly* what you put in 501's kj. I have a SOLID 23 in the rear. Wj rear lowers and IRO upper a arm and jba 4inch springs. See the pic above for current measurement on the front. |

I have the same thing as 501, except for a special item that gets me 4"+ and 501 has that trim packer Starting at the top 501 has 1/4" top plate Stock upper mount Stock rubber iso Ironman spring Stock rubber bottom iso Trim packer (shock ledge) 3/8" clevis space Stock clevis That should get you 22.5"-22.75" |
