Last weekend I had a chime, then the ABS, ESP and skidding jeep lights come on and stayed on. There was no change in handling, the brakes worked fine, there was no ABS activation, road dry as a bone.
So I did the obvious thing and searched here for the answer. I figured I'd give the rear wheel speed sensors a go, since they're only $15 at O'Riely's, and check the wiring harness myself, as that is free. I went with the free stuff first and checked the wiring harness. I had 12v at both wheel connectors. I went under the carpet and checked the continuity of the two wires to each wheel. Good to go. So off to the auto parts store. O'Riely's only had one on hand. The other usual suspects had zero. I figured I'd take a 50/50 shot at it and bought the one on hand. If that didn't work, I'd simply order another and put it on and go from there. I didn't want to just throw parts at it, as that gets expensive, but two sensors would be cheap enough. After that, I'd have it scoped by the dealership to figure what I was up against.
So since I only had one sensor in hand, I decided the left rear. No reason. Just 100% chance. Instead I did the right rear. No reason for the change of mind, other than thinking I'd guess wrong the first time no matter what. Anyway, it ended up being the right rear. Took it for a spin and all the lights were out within the first block.

Good deal
No matter how you did it, you got it repaired
funny how things work out at times
