today I pulled my CV joint out to replace the intermediate shaft and I noticed that my lower ball joint non-factory(moog) boot has split. Also noticing a lot of rattling prior don't know what is causing this. after going over bumps or even small hills in the road at 30 miles per hour plus front end passenger side rattles and sounds like something is amiss. Anyone else run into the same issues?

There is an awesome write up on how to check your lower ball joints.

Other suspension components can be checked by having an assistant force the suspension up and down while you observe the various components. Remember, force down a couple of times and lift up a couple of times.

Also gently prying with a long handled standard screw driver can reveal excess play in things. Don't forget to check your wheel bearings!!!
