You'd likely notice a bit more lean around corners, more rocking side to side,, unless struts are in perfect shape. You'd want to go ahead and completely remove to keep from having all sorts of popping, thumping, banging noises, though. Simple enough to remove for a test drive though. Bob |

Don't run on the road without front sway bar off road you will gain very little articulation no real need to disconnect |

There are front sway bar disconnects available from a couple of places, but I've wheeled with KJ's that have had them and didn't see any advantage, just pain the the a** getting them reconnected when the day was done. |

Don't feel bad Tim. No question is too dumb. But some of the answers...they can be pretty dumb. LOL Just kidding pal. I've wheeled my Liberty on some severe trails and never once disconnected my front sway bar. Unless you're going for a lift of more than 3" I wouldn't worry about disconnects. I have had my 02 on level 5-6 trails. Never disconnect anything |

I once took the entire front sway bar out while out on some forest roads, thought I'd get a little more ride comfort going over the rough/rocky road with no sway bar (and each side can work independently without being tied in to the chassis. Nope, no real difference...saved me 100 and something for JBA discos. |

Maybe JBA should sell a stiff bar for improved road manners so that you need his disconnects. We all profit, he sells more disconnects and those of us with DD Liberty's get better sways. |

Same way with too little sway bar. My KJ has real good road manners, I drive it like a race car and it never lets me down |
