I need a new set of tires. I currently have Goodyear Wrangler 235/70R17's on. I don't have a lift, it's all stock. I was wondering what my best bet for aggressive tires would be? Or am I SOL and should I just go with some cheapy street tires? I don't drive off-road but I like the aggressiveness of the A/T tires. I was looking at Grabber AT2 but I don't think they make a 235/70R17. I've tried searching but everyone only gives the biggest tire with no rubbing for 16" rims. Am I screwed because I have the chrome 17"s? Also: tirebuyer.com has a $40 off Labor Day coupon valid until tomorrow I think. Is that a good site or should I buy locally or some other site? |

Cooper Discoverer are good tires. You could probably go with a 245-70-16 or maybe 235-75-16. |

Cooper Discoverer AT3 is available in 235/70R-17 (and 255/65R17, but that might be too wide - I'm not a fitment expert). The BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A is also available in the 235/70R-17 size. Compare the various tire sizes over and under for your wheels here: http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-converter/ I don't know how far beyond 9.5" wide or how much taller than 30" you can go. There are some here who do know, so I hope they chime in for you. Jim |

I was hoping a user here with 17" rims would chime in on their experience. |

Going to have to stick to a 29 inch tall tire or right about there, much taller and you'll have rubbing if springs are sagged at all |
