Hello
I need to use a MS-9224 oil in my CRD manual gearbox (NSG370).
I can't find it but I've been told that it was superseded by the ATF+4 used in the automatic gearbox.
any help please

royal purple synchromax lists it is compatible in literature. I had a ford contour with the mtx-75. it used atf in it. I had no problems using chrysler atf+4 in it (for cheaper synthetic oil). shifted fine even at freezing winter temps. Ford later spec was their "Ford honey" as owners called it. I used Penszoil Synchromesh fluid. (same NSG370 trans with 3.7L gasser) It had the required rating in the small print on the bottle. |
