I have a 2005 Liberty CRD So I tried to use my 4wd for the first time in several months a few days ago, and the lever just swings freely now; doesn't engage anything. I pulled a code for the 4wd switch circuit a bit ago, is this actually the issue? The display hasn't had the lights go on for years, but the 4wd was still engaging... concerned. Am I just looking at a new switch circuit or is something larger happening here? Some very recent history: I recently had a salvage transmission put in, with a GDE compatible torque converter, (97k) by a trustworthy mechanic and everything in that regard seems to be running great, unless this is a problem related to that install. I just got the GDE eco & trans tunes done Some older history: Driveshaft was replaced 3 years ago (bottomed out real hard on some rocks, was making a terrible noise) but the 4wd worked fine after that was done. |
