I am new to the CRD, but not to diesels. Back when the 7.3 was all that FOMOCO produced, they had the same set up for the ccv, venting to the turbo, same result oily mess. Has anyone ran the emh hose to the exhaust, or would that create to much of a vacume in the crankcase. Bruce

ProVent filter is the best option!!
According to information available, the CCV requires some vacuum provided by the suction of the turbo for proper operation...
EHM mode can cause some problems.
Read and digest this information below and make your own decision:

The exhaust gasses/pressure would cause the ccv to become under pressure and blow the crankcase oil seals. As WWdiesel said Provent or something similar.
I know of a few that diverted it to the air box before the filter but it can cause the filter to clog but I guess it makes a good catch can.
