Just put the box back in with a new torque converter fluid levels are all good Mopar ATF+4 was used. I have been told that the quick learn procedure doesn't need to be used with the 42RLE. It would seem That i only have 3rd gear and it has spat out a codeP0731 and P0720 any thoughts. |

Bit of an update i had slightly over filled the transmission it's now at the right level and the lurching has stopped. When shifting into drive and starting it feels to take off in 1st but only for the briefest of moments then shifts up and stays up. The suggestion if the speed sensors I am looking into but can't do anything in a Sunday so will look at it tmrw |

Sensors replaced still no joy even replaced about 12 inches of the wiring to the output sensor as it was damaged and suspect. |

Did you do a quick learn? For some reason the 42rle doesn't like new fluids or something (my words) Thats what my transmission buddy did to mine. It was shifting weird after a fluid change. 15 mins on the computer and it was fixed. Most shops charge $20-50 for a "quick learn". He said it happens alot with the 42rle.
