Today I received the two front axles for replacement on the CRD. 134K on the clock, and I believe the CVs are bad. I was surprised to see that one of the axles has a female splined end. Is this correct? Just want to make sure before I get it all torn down and then find out I have the wrong axles. Also, with a lift of 2 1/4", do you think the collars inside the CV joint needs to be machined off a little? The plan is to keep the lift at the present height, but you never know in the future. Do it then? TIA. |
