It looks like my front diff pinion seal is starting to leak. Any advice on how to replace that seal? |

Remove front driveshaft. Take off wheels and calipers. measure rotational torque, remove weird round yoke. Replace seal. It won't want to leave probably. Seal puller was a little too sharp of a point on it, peeled through the crappy light metal around the seal. Put new seal in with a big socket so it goes in evenly, torque back to where the rotational load was that you measured. Put back on driveshaft. Someone else can chip in with a crush sleeve. I don't remember replacing one, but i may have. it's been a while. |
