So I'm stumped at this point. The blower fan works all speeds. Temp changes from hot to cold, so that seems to be working. The issue is i have very restricted air flow coming from the vents. Any ideas? This also started suddenly the other day. Seems like something is blocking the airflow.

no rats, but we do have mice. We have a little bit of snow here, only an inch or so. Where would i check for these blockages?

Pop off the windshield wipers
Open the hood
Check out the black plastic cover between the engine compartment and the windshield. If there is something blocking the vents, remove it. If not, remove the cover and continue down the rabbit hole. Make sure you check for dirt/leaves/detritus that (may be /can eventually) block moisture drains.

If only restricted on Max A/C check behind glove box for dirty screen on the recirculated air intake.

I will pop the wipers off today and check, got 6 inches of snow yesterday so I wasn't going out to check. And I already checked the screen behind the glovebox and it's clear. The restriction is on any mode and any fan speed.

 Have you checked to make sure you have vacuum on the HVAC operating system? Vacuum operates some of the doors in the HVAC box and a loss of all vacuum could place the doors in an unaligned condition not allowing any air flow. Check the vacuum feed line going through the firewall and make sure everything is intact. Mouse or rat could have chewed on or through a hose causing loss of vacuum....just a thought!

Just checked everything, the screen behind the wipers is clear, using the vacuum pump/guage that I just got it seems to be holding a vacuum. When I change the mode I can see the 3 vacuum actuators move so they seem to be working

Also no evidence of mice or animals so far.

I have read about cases of the blend door breaking, could that be the cause of no air flow? I'm thinking not because I do get both hot and cold air if I change the setting

I believe a broken blend door would cause loss of temperature control, not air flow.

What do you hear when you change fan power settings? Do you hear the motor change speed, or can you actually hear the fan change speed? Like it's trying to blow, but can't.

When I change the fan speed the motor changes speed. I've pulled the motor out and verified this. I've also pulled the resistor out and the airflow coming out of that hole is what I would expect to see coming from the vents. Seems like a blockage after the motor somewhere.

Well I finally figured it out. It was me not paying attention. The fan was cutting in and out. The connection inside of the motor housing was loose. When I took it apart and put it back together I reversed the plug, reversing polarity causing it to run backwards. Kinda wish I put two and two together sooner.

Glad you got it sorted.
