Hey crowd. I have developed a extreme harmonic in what seems to be my front diff.

I have tried swapping the driver's side half axle but with no effect and it doesn't sound like the wheell bearing, but I will swap that next.

I have a '05 CRD and I was wondering if all Liberty years and models used the same front diff.

Same diff but depending on engine and trans can have one of three different gear ratio's(3.55/3.73/4.10).

plus different mounts between gasser and CRD to sit the diff over to drivers side on the CRD

Do the mounts make it a unique front Diff comared to other Liberty models and years?

You say there are 3 different ratios, but does anyone know which was the ratio for the '05 Limited CRD?

Not sure about the mounts; sure TJ or Mudd could answer question?

It is my understanding that the L&R drive axles on the CRD's are slightly different in lengths than used on the gassers!

All Jeep Liberty CRD came from the factory with 3.73 ratios. There were no other options offered! :roll:

The diffs are the same but yes the mounts are different for the any model with only 4 cylinders(mounts bolt on the diff,must use your original mounts).

3.7 KJ with auto trans/5 speed manual = 3.73
3.7 KJ with 6 speed manual = 3.55
2.4 gas and 2.5 CRD = 4.10
2.8 CRD(auto trans) = 3.73
