Does anyone know if the coolant flow to the heater core is shut off when the heat isn't on? And also which lines flow in or out from the core. At the passenger side firewall inside the engine bay where the hoses go into the heater core there is a larger and smaller hose. Im just assuming tje larger is what feeds hot coolant into the heater core? |

Yes, that helps alot thank you! Do you know if coolant always travels to the heater core or only when the heat is on? |

There is no shutoff valve to stop coolant flow to the heater. |
