Hi jeepers,
the transmission of my 3.7l Liberty with 100k miles on it stopped working fine. This happend:
# whirring sound like steering pump (at this moment i thought it was the pump)
# few minutes later no forward power, slipping clutch and so on...
# engine control light -> P0700 -> DRBIII: P0870, P0733, P1790, P0734,P0218, P0944, P0732.
# Temp of AT by DRBIII: -19°C (TRS Transmission Range Sensor is ordered)
# Trans only N
Soundfile of whirring sound:
https://workupload.com/file/N5BxjwvTransmission oil was burned (black and smelled), drove on a mountain offroad trail as the sh** happend -> no clutch pieces/scoring found in the oil,
transmission flushed complete until now, old filter installed (new one is ordered), a second oil cooler installed ->

Cleared the DTC´s, drove about 45mins fine -> then the the same problems happend again. Engine control light, slipping gear only N anymore....
Event data: Trans temp -19°C, ambient temp sensor 134° (not defined if Celsius or Fahrenheit)
Tried a few miles to drive to come down from highway and called the towing service. Immediatly controlled the trans oil -> smelled fine, definitley not burned the second time.
What could it be?
Do I demand too much of my jeep
bye,
samse
