I'm lifted in a CRD and I tow a pop up camper on trips. can any one recommend a decent Jack I can carry that can lift the jeep high enough and use to change trailer tires too?

The problem with the stock jack is its I once couldn't get the Jeep much higher to get the good tire on when changing a flat and its not very easy to use and lift a low vehicle like the camper quickly on the side of the Interstate with traffic so close. A floor jack would be great but those are heavy and bulky to carry.

I have a small 2 ton floor jack I carry with me for doing what you are asking. I put it under the lower ball joint in the front and shock mount in the back to get the jeep up. For the camper I put it under the leaf spring mount.

I keep a basic bottle jack in the truck. They're very compact. But you may want to have some blocking with it for soft ground.

The 2ton floor jack like the other guy said isn't a bad idea. Some of them come boxed in a plastic case:

A small 2 to 5 ton small bottle jack and a short piece of 2x8 wood will jack up anything you need to and it takes up very little space! I have one in the back of my Jeep right now in a plastic milk crate!
