Soooooo, I liked the way the Liberty drove...and it was 90k miles for only 5g. Good deal right? Missing some amenities, but it's in good shape more or less.

I was looking at Xterras, but they all had way more miles, and the folding seats sucked.

The jeep had enough clearance for what I will do, and I just liked it more.

...BUT I DIDN'T SEE THE F'ING CROSSMEMBER(?) UNDER THE MOTOR!!

4" of clearance until you hit the skid plate??? What is this happy horse poo???

So...2002 owners...how did you solve this abomination? This thing would have a natural 6" or 7" of clearance...if it were not for that darn chunk of metal under the motor.

Is there an alteration? Newer model part? WTH?

Sounds like saggy springs.

OME lift springs and some spacers will get you more clearance.

So will taller tires. 245-75-16 is a good size.

Lots of information here about lift kits. Get to readin

I have over 10 inches
sagged out springs etc are your problem, would not be any different than any other model 4x4
Lift it/ regear it / install larger tires and have fun
