I have not driven my 05 CRD at interstate speed at night in a long time, and I have notice nothing driving in the city, but Thursday night I notice a flickering of the headlights and also on the dashboard and on the radio lights while driving between 2250 and 2400 rpms. Slowing down below 2100 the flickering disappeared. Driving in town no flickering. Any ideas? :(

Voltage regulator or alternator probably bad. A voltmeter can diagnose exactly what is going on!

I had a problem with flickering headlights.
It was the voltage regulator.
The voltage regulator is on the alternator.

I found on eBay a kit that included a new regulator and brushes, fixed it myself, and it’s been working great ever since.
Or you can get a replacement alternator from your local auto parts store.

First, you might want to check that all the connections are tight. (and corrosion free). Alternator, Battery, (and grounds).
