Hi,

I’m from the UK and we have a strange problem with our jeep. When it’s been left overnight, it will start, then after about 5/10 seconds it’ll cut out, it then will take several attempts cranking for at least 10 seconds at a time to get going again, once going all is well. If you stop, get out and come back it’ll start no issues.

Now under the bonnet there is a air/water filter, on top it has a rod that you can unscrew and pump, when I do this I can hear air coming out, and if I do this it does start straight after.

My question is, is there a way to properly bled air out of the system? On top of this filter there is the screw push rod, another plastic screw and a metal screw, I’m not sure which one mentioned in the manual I’m suppose to use to bleed?
