I am going to be doing true tracs and 4.10's on my Jeep and want to make sure I order everything the shop will need for the install. I assume a master install kit and fluid is needed, anything else?

Maybe consider replacing axle bearings and seals on the rear while you got it all apart?

Check with your shop before you commit to buy everything. Some will appreciate you supplying big-ticket, or hard-to-find stuff... but some will only install or warranty parts they supply.

Very true. You have to pull those out to access the carrier bearing adjusters anyway.

In the front diff, its a good time to do the same bearings and seals. Also replace the intermediate shaft if the splines are worn.

I don't really have a shop yet. The first one I tried was quoting me $2000 just in parts to do 4.10's and a rear truetrac/open stock front diff. Then they told me they couldn't get a front truetrac for the D30a and offered up a eaton e locker for $3000 in parts. I had to send them the D30 truetrac part number and never heard back.

I priced it out and it seems like I can get everything I need for <$2000. That's master install kit, gears, F/R truetrac and fluid.

Get a lubelocker gasket for the rear axle, it is worth it. Not available for the front.

X2 on the lubelocker gaskets! Best gasket I have ever put my hands on.

LubeLocker Differential Gasket for Dana 30A" Front (Part No. LLR-D030)
LubeLocker Differential Gasket for Chrysler 8.25" Rear (Part No. LLR-C825)
LubeLocker Transmission Gasket Chrysler 545RFE (Part No. LUB-LLT-CRFE)
