I snuck out into the shop for a bit tonight and got started on my custom front bumper. I searched a while but didnt find anything like I wanted to build so i started with a little carboard to help visualise then started cuttin steel. Finished it will have a grill hoop for a little deer protection, and a front reciever. Ill let the pictures do the talking. Hopefull I will have time to finish it soon, couple more nights and I should have it ready for powder coat.

Love it! You gonna make any "extra" ones? Great way to be a hero to the masses and get Christmas money!

Got it finished up today. Off to powdercoat tomorrow. Wish I woulda had a die for my tub bender for the hoop, but found some odd 2 1/8 tube for the right price! The cut tube is growing on me a little but it will be good enough for me. I was also thinking about cutting in some LEDs in the sides but if i want lights Ill just mount them ontop. Also added fron reciever hitch which will get a weight bracket/push bar made up since this will be a pit vehicle for a pulling tractor on the weekends.

I would love to make more but we have way too many projects as it is. I really didnt have time to build this but we are waiting on some engine parts so I cant go any further on our main or spare pulling engine.

I got the bumper powder coated at a friends shop, they used a textured flat black. It hid all the grinding marks perfectly plus he did it with a batch of their parts and I couldn't have painted it for what he did for me. I have had it on for a month or so but I have been swamped with work, family, and other projects going on. Here's some pictures of it on. Next fix the rust bubbles on the bottoms of the doors and paint the plastic black.

Do you have any pictures of what the mounting setup looks like?

I didnt have any pics of the mounting before. This liberty had hit somthing and crunched the center cross in front of the radiatior so I cut it out and put a small angle across to mount the hood support to. With that out of the way I cut out and welded in some sleves through the unibody front frame.
