I installed the WJ trilink rear UCA using a custom built bracket on the diff. I have a 2.5" JBA lift and I encountered something I didt expect. The clearance is close, too close in fact it looks like the uCA has already impacted the bracket at least once. So what the best option at this point? My front end sits about 1" higher then my rear so I can boost my rear up to a 4" lift or find a shop that will cut a little out of the bracket? I just dnt want to risk waking the bracket.
First off,
this is not my custom mount which uses a different design. This is the original WhitbyKJ design.
Problem with this design is it is not fully open in the front to allow full articulation and movement of the Heim joint on up and down & side to side movement of the IronRock Control Arm like the WJ mount that comes with the IR control arm allows.
You could grind some notches out on each side to give more clearance, but this design will always allow contact when enough high off camber articulation or movement is involved.
My design prevents this issue by having a full open front as pictured below.
