| Post subject: | tranny will not up shift |
today the liberty CRD was driving fine then I stopped to get some fuel and now it will go to 40km and wont up shift unless i let off the gas pedal, now does it all the time, could this be the tps sensor or a speed sensor? Also the ABS light has been on for a couple of weeks, would that have something to do with it? |

Wheel speed sensors, ABS, and TPS has nothing to do with the transmission. If the engine has plenty of power, the trans will upshift depending on a number of things. The fact that you mention lifting your foot causes an upshift makes me think there could be a lack of power. This happened right after you refueled? Maybe the fuel is bad causing low power? |
