I have an 02 limited 4x4. So I kind of heard that 03 and above are lowered an inch because of roll over am I wrong? My question is; if I install a frankenlift will I still get 2.5 inches of lift from my stock height or will it only be 1.5 inch lift?

"A few things to keep in mind about lifting KJ's. When you swap out the front struts with a complete new replacement unit, it no longer becomes "lowered" or "prelowered" KJ. The stock springs are what decides that. Once the stock strut assembley is in the trash, you ARE ALL at the same starting point.

ok that being said, what are some "average stock ride heights" for the 02 so I can compare. And where are the correct measuring points?

I didn't get a chance to measure mine before the lift, but I was factory lowered. But I do have the Frankenlift and if you want to visually compare with and without, PM me and we can meet somewhere local.

So has anyone here done a 2.5 lift on their 02? if so what was the difference?

You are correct. However the frankenlift seems to give a net difference on most lowered KJs of a little more than 2.5" more like 3-3.5" Thus you will get more like 2-2.5" from you current stock height.

However, regardless starting point (pre-lowered on not) you will all end up at the same height.

Before my lift my measurements from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender were 19.5" on every wheel. After my Frankenlift has settled my front is sitting at 22.25" and the rear is sitting at 21.25" from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender.

Ok I just measured. Im at 19" all the way around from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender. Hmm looks like it might just give me 2.5 inches. How is the ride compared to stock on your 02?

New to the board, and considering a lift.

Here's the thing; I have a stock 02 Sport and I'm currently running BFG 245 75R 16's on stock wheels. I have minimal front rub when on the road. How much benefit will I really get out of a full lift?

245/75R16 is the size that most people run once they've already lifted, so you won't get much of a benefit in terms of a larger tire.

You'll gain a little bit of ground clearance (an inch maybe 2), and probably a little more clearance above the tire (room for it to stuff)
