Would anyone have the parts number for the heavy duty OEM part? I have the following 52088901AE parts number but it seems that it’s for the standard part not the heavy duty one that I read in a couple of forums. I have a 2006 Liberty with a 2.5 inch lift and already changed a couple of times the rear upper arm so learned my lesson and need the OEM one. Thx

The "heavy duty" one is an aftermarket item for (IIRC) a Grand Cherokee.
WWDiesel makes the bolt-on piece for the top of the rear differential housing that adapts to it.
If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me.

This is exactly the setup (including WWDiesel's bracket) we've got on our KJ, and I will wholeheartedly endorse it.

For what it would cost to buy a stock upper control arm, you're at close to 50% of the cost of the IRO / WWDiesel combo.

IRO let me order the WJ UCA without the WJ-specific bracket. You'll have to call them and order over the phone, but (at least in my case) they were happy to assist.

PM WWDiesel for specifics on his mounting bracket. I'm just a happy customer; he can tell you more, but I will say this: it's beefy.

Thank you for the endorsement casm, I only designed and built them for people who wanted something much stronger and longer lasting than the flimsy OEM boomerang.
There are enough in service now all over the country in enough locations to say so far no problems or negatives have been reported.
It should be the last rear upper control arm you ever purchase for you Libby....

I've been beating mine up offroad and towing my top heavy 5,000 lb boat+trailer. It hasn't so much as let out a single creak sound. I think it's the only option!

Wow thx everyone. Was not expecting the overall price for both pieces. With shipping, customs and exchange rate it will be $$. The one I have at the moment is not the OEM but a part from Napa that cost almost 400$ Canadian with a 3 year warranty. Will see if they homer the warranty even though I have a lifted Liberty.

Would you say the OEM will last a couple of years at least as it should be better quality?

For the iron rock upper control arm could I have the part number or what model year grand cherokee I need to get so it fits the Liberty?.

Thx again everyone.

Don't know what you guys are doing but before the SFA swap on my KJ the OEM tri-link was in perfect condition when I pulled it(no torn or even stress cracked bushings) and I was almost at 4" of lift and wheeled the snot out of it here in Colorado and MOAB.Had something like 60,000 miles lifted and beat on,sold it to another person and mine had twice the miles as his but mine looked brand new.

I only have 2.5 inches of lift but the OEM upper control arm was finished after 11 years and 120000 miles. I changed it for a Napa brand but the clonking noise is back after about 7 months. I live in Canada and the OEM part is a std part (not HD) and they want almost 700$ Canadian dollars for it.... if it would last 60000 miles with the 2.5 inch of list it would be an option.

One word of caution. When ordering the Ironrock unit without the mounting bracket, MAKE SURE that they include the hardware kit (flex joint, etc) in the order. Confirm with them over the phone and review the invoice when you receive it to make double sure. They shipped mine without the hardware and I had to wait another week to get it. It was fine for me since I haven't installed anything yet, but someone in more of a hurry should make sure to check.

A few years back after and a couple of rear aftermarket tri-links I ordered an oem tri link in great shape from a junk yard and also a Jeepin by als extension for the rear link on lifted KJ'S and all my rear troubles are gone, total cost both pieces 120 bucks.
