Hi Guys My new to me 2007 3.7 has an NP231 transfer case. The PO said that he had from what I've read the typical switch malfunction where it shows 4wd Part time in 2wd and so on, so his mechanic just disconnected it. To check I reconnected it back up on the weekend and it is doing absolutely nothing, no lights at all in any position. When they go faulty do they sometimes do this as well? Don't want to spend the money on the switch to find out it is something else possibly. Transfer case engages fine but the throttle is way to sensitive without the ECU doing it's thing. Thanks Shannon |

yup, sounds like a switch. take a look at: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7430 this will help you with the replacement. if you want to fix the problem, you will need to replace the switch. it truly is a 15 minute job with the correct tools. good luck. |

Just a quick update about this switch. Ordered one from RockAuto last week, got it yesterday. Very good service considering I'm on the other side of the planet. Put it in tonight and it's working like it should now |
