I have this crazy idea on the front springs of the CRD, I am thinking about putting them into a gasser KJ. I thought that buying these springs and put the basic CRD frankenlift on would probably almost equal or better than the upgraded OME frankenlift. I am thinking about this because I want to put the arb bumper on it so it would hold up. Did anyone think about this? or Has anyone put the CRD springs on a gasser KJ? do you think it will fit right in? |

I'm trying to find time to install the CRD springs and a new pair of Rancho's with my old RRO Combo lift. I've got the ARB and winch to support, so I hope it works better than the Rusty's H.D. springs did. I'll keep ya updated! |

Am I right in thinking that the springs in a CRD and the springs in a 3.7 are the same length but different spring rates? If so, you won't get more travel by swapping it out, or even more lift really, just less sag. The franken front struts are actually longer than the stock ones, not just stiffer. If you were planning on doing a spacer lift anyway, I suppose a CRD coil and a spacer is better than a stock coil and a spacer, but I think a longer spring is better than either. |

Frankenlift for CRD does just the stock springs. We just used a 2.5'" Daystar lift. Also, the front struts are not longer. The Daystar kits comes with a new top plate with a "drop" in it so that the front strut travel is not over extended. |
