Hello, bought nice 2003 JEEP LIBERTY LTD EDITION. All brake disc were worn so I made decision to replace them. Bought new set of all four brake discs, brake pads, and handbrake shoes.

After installation in service centre which has very good reputation, noticed that driver side rear disc have slight drag. I can surely feel that it is hot to touch and rim is warm after 30 km ride. Than I ordered calliper repair set and we changed all rubbers and piston. After this, now another sides rear disc is hot. I have also order repair set for it.

By the way, after first installation of all discs handbrake was very loose it barely stopped a car while it was moving slowly. After second visit mechanic made the handbrake very stiff. Jeep even can lock rear wheels on dry tarmac.

Questions:

1. If Jeep is in neutral gear, it is hard to move from standstill. Tyres are BFG AT with 2.5 bar (36PSI) pressure. Is it normal? Mechanic says that it is normal, because of those heavy axels with LSD.
2. Could be brake drag caused of to much tension handbrake? Handbrake shoes were adjusted with locking pin in place on handbrake handle as manual says. Read in forum, that many users have nightmares when adjusting handbrake. Maybe there is any tricks and tips adjusting it, so that it won't be dragging?

I can get 7.8 l / 100 km (30MPG) if I drive on speed equal to 80 km/h (50 mph), wonder what I can achieve if brakes were not producing heat from friction :D
