Libby is being a little stubborn: After replacing the strut, upper & lower ball joints, and half-shaft, I can't seem to re-connect the upper ball joint with the steering knuckle. The upper ball joint is in the control arm, no problem. But the spindle is about 3 inches above the steering knuckle, and I can't seem to get it to meet up. I have a jack under the lower ball joint, and I've jacked the car up on the ball joint, but just... can't.... seem to get it to meet up. If anyone has any tips or tricks, I'd be grateful.

I don't know if you can do it with the Al's A-Arms, but on the OEM ones you can slip an extra long adjustable wrench over the arm near the ball joint and use it to wrench down on the a-arm. It has always been enough, in combination with the jack under the lower ball joint, to get the two together. You might have to get creative with the Al's arms. Also, you can loosen the bolt holding the a-arm to the frame to let it sag more if it helps. Just remember to look up the proper procedure for tightening it (car lifted, car on the ground, etc) so it has the proper preload.
