Ok, I've got the Super Skid 1 and the Kilby Tank skid. Who has the transfer case skid that will work with the Super Skid 1? and would you suggest replacing the Mopar front skid with something else and who's? |

I don't believe anyone makes a front skid besides Mopar, but I could be mistaken. I think it's the same story with the t-case skid too, but I'm not sure. Anyway the Mopar skids are all cheap, you should be able to just pick 'em up at the stealership, or try shopping around online to see if you can get a lower price. |

The Super Skid looks great and lots of folks seem pretty happy with it. I wasted my money on the MOPAR tranny skid and it rubbbed on the exhaust until I added a bunch of spacers. It also bends VERY easily. I would not reccommend it even though it is very cheap. Their t-case skid is Ok tho. |

It don't need spacers. Bang the rub spot with a sledge and bolt it up. Very easy The mopar tranny skid is bang for the buck. If you are really gonna push it though, invest in the good brand. the Mopar will get bent until it hits the exhaust again...bang it back out. It will save your tranny pan too. |

It will save your tranny pan too. Trust me....it needed spacers. The thing saounded like a VW bug with all the rattling and vibration LOL. Even with spacers and that left side banged down it still rattles a bit in reverse. I definately got my $30 out of it though. Custom tranny skid is in the works. |

You probably have a different exhaust sys than the rest of us who popped it one time with a hammer and bolted it up. One hammer hit netted about 3/4" more space at the one little spot it vibrates. I know what its like to have a diff model...I got the Super Dana 35,and tririllium carbohydride vendollium oxide ball joints, titanium a-arms, 45rfe magnum tranny, and special springs

I have never had a problem with any of my skids rattling on my exhaust. I have all the NO-PAR ones |

Thanks for all the input. I'm looking at Skid Row pretty hard. 0311_DoC : I haven't had a chance to put the FL 2 thru it's paces yet. I hope to do something this weekend if other things do not come up. The first thing I noticed about it was that the KJ rides the way it was always intended to. Feels like an 4x4 now. I'll get some pictures this weekend. |
