In inspecting the front end of my 05 Jeep Liberty CRD, the front clevis on both sides are rusted to Heck. Has anyone else had this problem and where do y’all get replacements?

They all do that, especially if they've seen snow or wet climates. Honestly, unless they're literally falling apart from rust, there's no need to worry too much.

Having said that, one option is to pull the existing ones, sand / media blast them, rust-treat and paint them, and put them back on. Getting a junkyard set from a dry-state vehicle may also be an option.

As for just buying replacements... They're a discontinued part, at least as far as Chrysler is concerned. Search for part no. 52088748AC (it's the same for both sides); you might get lucky and find some that are NOS. Not aware of any being made aftermarket.

Some people have used KK clevises for lifting purposes, with mixed results. Someone who has actually done that can speak to it, though.

Thanks for the tips. I’m shocked there are no aftermarket repros but I guess if it hasn’t broke yet, don’t fix it.

This Mopar vendor shows they have them, very pricey.
https://www.moparpartswebstore.com/p/je ... 748AC.html
I would call them to verify before ordering.

There is also some listed on eBay, search for: 52088748AC
Later model 2008 and up used a similar clevis but it is a little longer according to some reports by member on here.
If it is not that much longer, that might provide a small lift?

Southern or Western non salt exposed Boneyard car parts may be your best bet.
Check with LKQ online, they have used struts listed for Jeep Liberty's.
https://www.lkqonline.com/2007-jeep-liberty-strut

The clevis/stut is the same on both sides and fits all 2002-2007 Liberty's.
