I had damage to my front crossmember and want to replace the part so I can get around to installing my grill guard I am thinking of pulling the part from one at the local pick n pull How difficult is it?Am I going to need to saw through anything? |

I guess the first step would be to remove the front bumper cover And from there..? |

I don't think you have to remove the bumper. Front dif, and then There are 4 huge bolts that Marry it to the frame. The power steering (reservoir?) Needs unbolted from the k-frame. You probably know, but don't use a hydraulic lift to support the engine for any period of time, as it will leak down. A structural grade 4x4 with no cracks would suffice just supporting the engine by the front lift hook. Better yet a 4x6 or 3 2x4's since you'll be under it |

I'll leave the work to the pros. I did find an aftermarket crossmember for a couple hundred $$ less than what the local body shop wanted,so that took some of the sting out of it. |
