Hi Guys, I've seen in some of your signatures a mod referred to as "KK Forks", but I can't find any old threads with the same name. Could someone please tell me about the KK Forks mod or point me in the right directions? Thanks!

What are you driving, your signature does not say.

I'm driving a 2002 Jeep KJ 3.7L V6 4x4 with a full OME lift and much more.

It's a reference to using KK (2008-2013) clevises on a KJ to gain approximately 1" of lift at the front.

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=44483

The same thing can be achieved by spacing the KJ clevis down on the strut:

Spacing the clevis down or using a KK one is functionally-equivalent to using a top plate spacer, BTW.

Thank you both for your Replies! Btw, I have now added my current build to my signature.

Keep in mind, if you add a longer clevis, clevis spacers, top plate strut spacers, or any combination thereof, longer bump stops are recommended/required.

This is a old post/thread that you should read through to understand the dynamics of various methods of lifting a KJ.
Link: Top Plate Spacer VS. Clevis Lift

--------
2008 Model KK stock Clevis: OEM Part Number: 04670456AB :google:

Clevis spacer rings go between the strut and clevis or strut fork and gives extra lift on the front end.
These rings can be used to lift and level the front end of the Jeep for added ground and / or tire clearance.
.250" Clevis Spacer = about 1/2" of actual lift.
.500" Clevis Spacer = about 1" of actual lift.
Many simply use some stacked 2" conduit nuts for clevis spacers. Readily available at your local hardware or builders supply store and cheap.

There were two varieties of the KK/KA forks. The earlier models were cast, and look identical to the KJ forks. The later models were a rolled steel and look very different. Both varieties may work on a KJ, but I ran cast ones from an '08 KA for a while. They are longer but also slightly narrower at the bottom. I had to do a little grinding on the lca bushing and then stretched them open slightly to get them in.

As an aside, the stock bump stops on the KA amd maybe the KK are about an inch longer than the KJ and fit perfectly.

You may have better luck searching on the forum using the term "clevis" instead of "strut fork". Strut fork is used in the parts catalogs, but clevis seems to be the preferred term here.
