2006 kj crd master brake cylinder

Post subject:  2006 kj crd master brake cylinder
I need a master brake cylinder for the above , cant get one in Australia. anybody got any idea where I might get on in the USA and what info do I need to find the correct one.

Do you have a part number?
I came up with these part numbers and links for right hand drive master cylinders for 2006 Liberty.

thanks for the help, I have emailed the suppliers and they tell me that they can only supply for LHD
the question now is are LHD units and RHD units the same?

Based on the pictures I observed online, the RHD master cylinders brake lines attach to the left hand side of the master cylinder, where as the LHD master cylinders brake lines attach to the right had side of the master cylinder.
But in a pinch, I guess you could extend the OEM brake lines and attach them on the opposite side of a master cylinder?
Brake lines are cheap. I have done many similar things in the past when updating older brake systems on older vehicles to newer ones. :wink:

the master cylinder did not fix the problem . brakes are bled but the pedal has no feel ,still falls to the floor. pedal has feel when bleeding so i assume master cylinder is pumping okay.
what could be the trouble , the only thing i can see between master cylinder and wheel cylinders is the abs module. can these cause this type of problem?

Rusty memory here but I think I had to bleed abs output lines and then bleed at the wheels again to get good pedal feel when I replaced both rear calipers. Engine running during bleeding and I think the book said not to pump the brakes, just push and hold down once, bleed, and repeat as often as needed. I think I got fancy and hooked bleeder screws to tubing into a clear container of new brake fluid to watch the bubbles.

Fussier than any other brake job I'd done but my first abs brake job.

A very good power bleeder, makes bleeding quick and easy, and yes even ABS ones.

Hello Peter

Did you find any faults/leaks in the vacuum system of the brakes, turbo boost controller or internal dash vents?
I was having problems with lack of boost for the brakes and have found that the mechanical vacuum pump on the engine is now quite slow to restore the vacuum, so have added an electrical vacuum pump, to help pull the vacuum at startup.
