On a recent trip through the mountains I experienced the dreaded torque converter shudder. I've done a lot of reading on this forum so I immediately realized what it was. I let of the throttle, hit the overdrive button taking it out of overdrive. Shudder stopped I was able to get back into the throttle with no issues. Over the last year I have had about three times when I got the shudder, all under heavy load. Each time I got out of overdrive and the shudder stopped. My question, can I upgrade my torque converter on my own timeline (sometime in the next year) or is this shudder a sign of a failing torque converter that should be addressed as soon as possible?

Any opinions on the IDparts Euro converter?
