I heard a warning sound (dit dit)

Hi there,
i have a 2007 liberty limited 2.8 crd. Something happened to me for the first time today. I was driving my car on a hilly road. I was putting the gear in neutral on the descents. When I put the gear in neutral for the 5th time, I heard a warning sound (dit dit). When I looked at the indicators, they all started flashing. steering became heavy. I stopped and the rev and speedometer on the car started to show zero.
I stopped the car. After restarting, there was no problem. But I don't understand why this happened to me. Is there anyone have an idea? do i need to fix something?
