Hello,

Perhaps you may be able to help with my issues. It would be greatly appreciated.

I have the following set of problems:

Red lighting bolt light on

Won't rev above 3000rpm, but drives fine up to 3000rpm

Fault code p0069

I have looked online extensively, but I cannot find these issues together anywhere.

For reference this vehicle is a 2007 Cherokee/liberty 2.8crd sport manual rhd (UK).

The vehicle had a turbo failure around 1 month ago, new turbo fitted since.

Has also been remapped.

Any ideas what this could be?

Easy fix or bad news?

Thanks again

I think I read somewhere that the red lighting bolt is usually associated with a bad accelerator pedal. The pedal is electronic so it might have some bad contacts or is on its way out.

From the Factory Service Manual:

P0069 -- Manifold pressure (MAP) sensor – barometric pressure correlation MAF sensor, mechanical fault

Lighting Bolt:

29. Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) Warning Light —
If Equipped This light informs you of a problem with the Electronic Throttle Control system. If a problem is detected the light will come on while the engine is running. Cycle the ignition key when the vehicle has completely stopped and the gear selector is placed in the P (Park) position. The light should turn off. If the light remains lit with the engine running your vehicle will usually be drivable, however, see your dealer for service as soon as possible. If the light is flashing when the engine is running, immediate service is required and you may experience reduced performance, an elevated/rough idle or engine stall and your vehicle may require towing. The light will come on when the ignition is first turned on and remain on briefly as a bulb check. If the light does not come on during starting, have the system checked by an authorized dealer.
