Thank you all so much! Its all just starting to sink in. I have so many thank you notes I can't wait to send. I enjoyed meeting everyone!
WOOHOO!!

What a great day!!! I'll have tons of picks up soon. We had 220 folks sign in and many more that didn't.
Tons of trash were removed and great people were met.
THANK YOU!!

I'm asking that anyone who wants to share pictures posts the LINK as a comment on http://www.fourpeakspickup.blogspot.com so they are all located in one place! Thank you!

Hi all,

Looks like it was a great event! Here's the aerial pix. I shot a ton, but sadly not too many turned out, and also I didn't have my telephoto lens.

Somehow I think it was more important to keep the plane under control than mess with camera settings... :D

I waved, but ya'll looked like a bunch of bugs running around down there.

Tim,

I'm an architect by day, and a crime fighting super hero at night. But that's kind of a secret, so keep it on the down low.

Well the first part is correct.

I fly just for fun. A slot opened up last Sat. as far as renting the plane goes, so I took it. Glad I could be of some service...

Todd

Got it toadman. Your secrets safe with me.
Thats pretty cool. I'd love to take up flying some day. Lots of work, but the reward seems endless. Were you the one that took some aerial pics of dirt bike riders heading up to crown king one day?

I hate to say this, but you guys worked so hard you deserve to know.
Late Saturday night some fools lit fire to the trash pile. The FS was out there over the last couple days cleaning it up. Bless him. Our FS contact had to work on the smoldering mess with a backhoe.
What I'd do to those people if they were caught...

Hmmmm, large pile of flammable junk, desert all around - add a few dozen beers and I'd say that's a bonfire waiting to happen :P

Guess idiots happen everywhere...

I think stupidity like that is taught, but I don't know. Some idiot kids are one thing who are being stupid kids. Adults should know better. No way to tell which is was unforetunately...

That totally sucks. Maybe next time we can camp there overnight after the clean up just in case...we'll just have to watch our own fires :) Great event Tim!

First off its great to see the sponsors getting some press and print. They deserve every bit of it.
Secondly, I've signed up to be a member of the Blue Ribbon Coalition. You get the magazine they send out, the latest with the cleanup in it, and it makes you feel great.
BRC and Tread Lightly are just great and I want to support them. Enough talking.
The link is below to the digital version of the BRC magazine about the clean-up. Enjoy!!
