Looks like the Copper creek run will have to be postponed. That part of the state is on fire (Dudleyville) so not a good time to go traipsing around. I'm out of town the next three weekends after this so I'll post up a run after that. I'm up for a meeting though.

Mike:
Set something up for us in between, like in Casa Grande or something.

I'm up for it too. You think any of the rain is going to stick around? Supposedly it is going to rain all Friday.

I'm down for a sat/sun meeting?
I know of a spot that would be alright to go to if you "peeps" are interested...it is in Catalina you get to drive on a dirt road, shade, great mountain & landscape scenes and depending on who you are... there's even a play area on the way there and back.
the place is called... "The Cottenwoods"

That's a great idea. We could play and have a meeting both!

I have a couple of ideas....
1.Meet Sunday @ 9am at the Mobile gas station south of the Circle K where we meet in Catalina?
2.We can all gather Sunday at the Circle K in Catalina at around 9am?

Just to let everyone know... it's still in the desert and it's still very hot as usual, so bring lots of H20!

We could have a breakfast or lunch meeting at any number of places nearby in Catalina. Plus have some trail time. Or have a trail meeting. Both options are highly doable. I vote for Circle K because it has a bigger parking area. I'll be wherever you all post, 9 am sunday.

Welcome back, Dan. Been wondering where you went (probably working way too much like most of us). I'll be there Sunday morning if I don't sleep in :? Anyone from PHX wanna caravan? Travis, Bethany, Bueller... Bueller?

I'll call you saturday to coordinate.
Maybe I'll bring my wife's new wrangler. Probably not though. My liberty's way better.

I can't go unfortunately. I have a belated celebration for my birthday this weekend in addition to a metrics presentation I have to prepare for my work. I am commited to the October run though. Since I won't be there, i have a few comments...

1. We need to decide where the run is going to be. Should we keep everyone together or have seperate groups? Sedona for a 3 rated trail, White Tanks or Florence Junction (or a lot of other places for that matter) for a 4 rated trail, all in the same day.

2. We need to find out if there any expectations from the SoCal guys about where they want to go...Sedona, etc.

3. We need to find out if there is going to be a Death Valley run since SoCal might be running that in October as well.

Other than that, I think the 1st AZ LOST KJ run is a great idea.

Dave

Crud, it figures something would come up: I have to cover for another employee who can't be at work Sunday  Have to be at work from 10am to 6:30pm, so there is no way I can get to Tucson. If anyone has any suggestions on the website content take notes and let me know. Also I have been working on the AZLOSTKJ club business cards after a long hiatus: I will post some files tomorrow night if someone wants to print them out and present them at the meeting. Well, at least I have Monday off so I can try to get my armor installed...
