More the merrier, should be fun. The trail is not too tough, long but not too tough.

Bring 'em along. I've got a buddy who wants to go in his Toyota and his brothers gonna ride with me. Heck, if we let Fiso tag along we'll probably let anyone join a run

Here ya go. http://www.sosnws.com/oldsite/Trails/View.asp?T=34

Guys i might just make this one. :D I got the new rear driveshaft in today. I have my front axle shafts on the way and ordered the shocks too. It is just a matter of them getting here and installing them. I hope i can make it. I have always wanted to do this trail. 8)

Alright Travis 8) If you need any help with the wrenching let me know - I'll be working thru the week but should be free on Saturday (provided I don't have to do OT).

Broncsrule, welcome to AZ LOST! I seem to recall you mentioned you were going to be coming down this way but it slipped to the back of my mind. Anyway, here is a write-up of our run thru Martinez and Box Canyonslast Spetember. This is the area we will be going to for the coke ovens. And here is another write-up from Expeditions West. Maybe we'll see you next Sunday. Oh, and it hasn't been updated in a couple of months, but check out the AZ LOST KJ website.

Thanks for the info on the trail. Sounds fun. We are finally settled in and ready to see the sites. I met a few of the AZ guys at Moab last year, so it will be nice to meet more of the AZ members now.

OK, so here is the list of people who are doing this run so far:

Corwyyn
Oldhockeyvb
Roachman
Sethx9
MikeD0106
Broncsrule
Renstock
LOST TJ *if he can get his TJ in shape in time*

My friend from work may be tagging along, but he is wanting to get out there in the late afternoon and stay overnight (something I'm not particularly interested in right now) so he may go out with some others. If anyone else is interested but hasn't posted yet give us a shout. Hope to see everyone on Sunday.

I may be going too, I have wanted to run this for a while also. The libby isnt going to do it, but if the parts for the new tranny come in tomorrow for the CJ then I'll be there. I'll update as I find out.

Stupid Wranglers.........They are always broken. I still have no tracking numbers for the shafts and shocks. So it isn't looking good for me. :?

Welcome back Tom and Beth! Haven't heard from you in a while, glad to see you're doing well. I'm really looking forward to this run. I haven't been out in over two months. Course my last trail was in Moab so I shouldn't complain too much.

No, you shouldn't :P Beth, it would be great to see that CJ out on the trail. Maybe if you get it fixed in time you can let Travis ride shotgun. Hope to see you there :D

While we are making lists, who has what for communications.

Corwyyn - CB and FRS
Roachman - CB and FRS
Vern - CB
LOST TJ - CB

If anyone else has a radio post with type. I've got my VHF/UHF Ham radio which can do the FRS/GMRS frequencies and two handheld FRS/GMRS units if anyone needs to use one. I'll bring 'em all along.

Two things about this run.

First what time are we meeting?

Second I need a volenteer to do a writeup of the day, and also take some photos so that we can make sure to get it on our website.

Thanks,
Daniel

8am on Sunday. We're meeting at the Cottonwood Canyon Rd. turnoff from 79 (more info back on page 3).

I can bring a still camera and help with the write-up (like the one I did for Martinez Canyon). If anyone else wants to do the write-up let me know...

When i got home yesterday my shafts were here. :D Of course i had to install them right away. I'm just waiting on the shocks now. I still might come even if the shocks don't make it. I just gotta make up my mind if i want to be bouncing around all day. I hope they make it. If i do show i will take some pics and video. Cya

Hey Vern, how does the tough spot on the Coke Ovens road compare to the step/ledge coming in from Cottonwood Canyon? This would be the spot coming in from Cottonwood Canyon that had all the rocks piled along one side:

Beth and I crawled down the rocks but you went over the edge of the lip:

Just wondering...

The only tough spot I remember on the coke ovens run is similar to the one in the picture. Shouldn't be a problem, we'll get everybody through. I'm so excited about this run, looks like we're going to have a great turnout!

I rolled through Box Canyon with about 700 miles on the odometer last year. Since then I've installed the Frankenlift and the 265/75 MT/Rs and I've been on a few more challenging trails. I am AMPED to roll out again!!
