We need a volunteer to plan the August run scheduled for Saturday 8/19/06. I'm out of town that weekend and can't do it. Kevin planned the last one. Let's have someone else step up and plan this one. There is plenty of time. Pick a trail you've been dying to try and put a meet together, it's easy.
Who's up for it?

Yes it is. I lead the night run last year and had 21 jeeps. Jeff ran tail for me. This year Jeff is leading the 7 am run and i'm gonna tail for him. Should be a blast. There must have been close to 200 jeeps hit that trail on that day last year.Anyone want to go?

Yeah, we could get a cadre of KJs out on the trail 8) I might be interested if you all think I could make it.

I think you could make it Kevin. What do you think Travis, has the trail gotten much worse since last time we ran it? Seth ran CK with Travis and I totally stock. You'll have to pick your way in a few spots and maybe take a bypass or two but it should be doable. It is a long trail.
Wow, 200 vehicles that would add to the time factor also.

I'd be more inclined to do CK on a day when there far fewer people out given the fiasco we ran into last year.

Kevin - you'd be fine I think given what you made it over on the Coke Ovens run. I didn't even have rock rails on my trip to CK.

Ya you'd make it Kevin. Just like Vern said you'd have to pick your way through a few spots and take a couple of bypasses. Vern is the only KJ i have ever seen run CK doing every obstacle. I could never make this one in my KJ.

Vern walked right through it. Twice. 8)

If the trail is muddy. It will be alot harder. There will be alot of Jeeps on that trail 8-19 It should be fun. Does anybody want to run CK this Sunday 7-30? We can if you guys want. We will have to start early though. I'm up for it!!! Anyone else?

Did he disconnect the sway bars when he went through that obstacle...definitel see the possibility of a roll over for a KJ...that is if oyu weren't spotted properly perhaps...

AFIK he didn't...he's locked front'n'rear though. Don't know if I can make this one but I'm lookin' forward to running CK again now that I'm lifted and have some serious shoes on. Maybe I could be the 2nd one for Travis to see run all the obstacles 8).

No he did not disco. Like Seth said he is locked up though. I tried that obstacle in my KJ plenty of times and i could never get the front end up on the first ledge. I was not locked and only ran 30" tires. So, anyone want to go this Sunday?

P.S. Vern was also the first KJ that i know of to run four trails in the White Tanks. Appetizer, Tax Collector, Firebird and Tie Rod Wash. I have a feeling that he may end up being the first KJ to run the Terminators too.

How early is 'early'? I might be up for it, provided they don't need us to work sunday (d'oh, why can't I just win the Powerball?). And yeah, it'll depend on how much rain they get up there in the next few days...

Hmm, 10 hours to run the back road to CK? Think I'll pass for now :? And I can't even imagine what it will be like on the 19th  If you're still interested in doing some wheeling I was thinking of going out to the Rolls/Four Peaks area and get some ideas for what we could do next weekend. I thought I'd head out there around 8am or so. Let me know...
