I just got two estimates here in Chandler for $100, and one for $70, front two windows only but they would only do it at 35%. I want to "match" the rear tint, if you know what I mean. Where did you have this done and for how much etc.? Preferrably in the SouthEast Valley, (Tempe, Chandler, Auwatukee, Mesa, Gilbert) thanks Matt ![]() |

I had mine in my truck done at a place called solargard or something like that. I will have to dig to find the old @$$ invoice, but I think I paid around $70 for mine. Anyways... the shops will only do 35% becuase that is all you are allowed to legally have on your front side windows *here in AZ*. It's a BIG fine if you are caught with darker tint. Trust me... I know ![]() You also won't find a legitimate shop anywhere in the valley willing to do the front windows any darker because they can also get fined if caught. |

Thanks, I know about all the tinting laws, but darker is done every day and I have yet to personally meet anyone who was actually ticketed or fined for it. You are right about any legitimate shop only doing 35%, but I am trying to match existing, not trying to go "limo" or anything. Maybe the guy down by the head shop? No receipt, no warranty, cash only? ![]() ![]() |

The company I used was AZ Sun Shield located in Phx, and I think they moved to Mesa. Here's what I found on them: Arizona Sun Shield 7211 East Southern Avenue Suite 101, Mesa, AZ 85209 (480) 897-6838 As far as people being ticketed... There have been several people ticketed for illegal tint. I know this 1st hand. Anyway, if you don't have any luck with a local shop then you may want to consider doing it yourself. From what I've been told it is not that difficult just very time consuming. |

Thanks for the advice! I decided to do it myself, and I found a quality, precut tint for $24 delivered on Ebay. You can order any % you want. ELITETINT is the seller, and now that I've installed tint on 2 windows in my life I feel I am qualified to give advice/tips. ![]() |

No problem... How'd it turn out? Was it difficult or did it just take a while to do? I've been told that the hard part is actually removing the tint. |
