Post subject:  Any Interest In A Clean Up

I've got quite a few hours of volunteer work to accomplish for my National Honor Society membership at school. As a result, that has been engulfing the majority of my weekends. However, I've discovered that a trail clean-up could be recorded as volunteer hours. Would the AZ LOST group be interested?

I'm really glad there is so much interest. I guess as we get closer, we'll have to discuss time and location. I may actually have to officially join LOST now.....

the first half of the Redington Road area where the gun range is down here in Tucson always needs to be cleaned up. everytime i wheel through there, i see shot up TVs and beer cans all over the place

Ditto on the Redington Road. Just saw a week or two ago that a bunch of gun clubs along with USFS and BLM did a huge clean up there. They literally had multiple tons of trash picked up. I'm sure there is more there.

April (latter part) might be tough to get volunteer help though as Moab is around the corner. Post where and when you'd like to do it and we'll see.

later,
mike

Personally, any saturday really works for me. So what works best for everyone else? And how far is this area from Phoenix?

I'll be working the Table Mesa cleanup on 4-21 any other saturday or sunday will work. Just got done working the booth for the AZOHVC at the outdoor expo at Ben Avery shooting range today. That was fun. I'm gonna go back tomorrow and play with all the things i missed today. Just let me know when the clean up is. If you guys are not dead set on reddington road, we can all do the TM cleanup. There will be many different offroad and shooting clubs there. If you are dead set on reddington road, just let me know when and i'll be there. Cya

I'd be in for Table Mesa, as I was kinda leaning towards 4-21 myself lol. By the way, LOST TJ, I've got volunteer work at the Orpheum until 3, but I'm gonna check and maybe make my way up to Ben Avery if it is still open.

Oh, and would anyone perhaps want to help me mount a T-Case skidplate the same day as the run? Maybe...Hint Hint...Nudge Nudge

The 28th would work for me as well. Personally, I dont really care where. I'd be up for Tucson if possible. I'm really starting to look forward to this.

The TM cleanup on the 21st works for me (as of right now). The 28th is not so good as I'll be packing and getting ready to move to a new apartment that week.

Right now, I have the 21st marked on the calendar. I guess we'll see who else is in. Now I have to go find out where Table Mesa is lol.

North on I-17 to Table Mesa Rd. exit (12 miles north of the Carefree Hwy), west across the interstate and turn north on the paved road just west of the southbound on/off ramps. Head about 3/4 mile north on the road until you start seeing junk strewn all over and hear gunfire.
