Summer is flyin by........we are all busy....man do I KNOW that!!!! (stupid pools)
BUT.....we need to get together.
When Tammy and I were in Big Bear, there was interest in people coming to wheel AZ with us.......WU WHO!!!! :D
Lets get together and start planning an event, this will take alot of work to even come close to what the KJ West guys do!! I know of a volunteer to coordinate the event, we just need to put our heads & jeeps together and start working out the details!!!!
Lets Do IT!!!!

Fiso and I were talking about doing a copper creek run the weekend of 7/23 or 7/24. Copper creek is an old ghost town in the Galiura mountains near mammoth. From what I hear the trail is not difficult so stock rigs could come along. I believe there are some optional areas for more challenging routes towards the top.

Here's a link-

Next weekend sounds good to me, either day...I will have to let you know as it gets closer though. I might be going to Young again, just depends on if I am needed or not. We have got to do a run up there sometime...

Alright...I'm back in. Everything is fixed except the overheating problem. We need to have a run and an organized get together to talk about the 1st Annual LOST AZ Run. Anyone running this Sunday?

Dave

I'll be there! I just talked a friend of mine into getting a Jeep...he didnt get a Liberty, but a Jeep none the less, I think he is going to come with us if thats ok. He wants to break the 4x4 in.
I will be available all day so anytime is good for me. I dont know any places in Tucson so I am not much help there, but I will keep checking back to see when and where

To those in Phx area...who wants to Caravan?

Fiso:
I remember you saying copper creek was an all day run. Would we have time for a breakfast meeting and the run too? Starting point for the run is in Mammoth. We'd probably have to meet early, say 7:30-8 AM in Mammoth to do a meeting and a run.

Vern has a good point......
I KNOW, I need to get on the trail too.........BUT, I think a short meeting to get things rolling for Oct. is really important........How far is mammoth from the Valley???
Copper Creek sounds good......BUT, will we have enough time for a meeting and a run???
Remember...some of us have a ways to go.......insert whine :D ...kidding
Its up to you guys......if you think we have enough time for a meeting...and copper creek....so be it.......if not, then maybe we should pick a shorter ride. I really want us to have a meeting, with ideas, etc. on hosting a national AZ LOST run, and if its going to be Oct..........we have LOTS of stuff to do......

Hey,

I might not be able to attend. I'm taking the Jeeplet in to have my Powertrax installed this Friday the 22nd (the good news), but the bad news is that I think I'm losing an upper control arm (or whell bearings, or who knows what). If that's the case, I probably won't get her back till Monday. In my absence, can someone take some notes and forward them to me. I can type them up and distribute.

Thanks!

Todd

I should be able to make it down. I have next sunday off; my company has a policy about not working more than 13 days in a row (which of course they only follow occasionally). Anyway, I'm asking th e same question as Travis - where and when? And are we gonna run afterwards? If not I'm going to come back to PHX and try installing my new ARMOR (thanks dynamike!).
