Over on jeepkj, a day trip over to Four Peaks Road has come to be planned out. There are already at least three of us going, although we would like to extend the invitation to LOST. I am not the originator or planner of this trip, so you can ask the originator or I am willing to forward questions if need be. However, here's the link, we would love for some more KJs. http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32733 |

I'm going a bit stir crazy and could use some play time in the dirt. Count me in. The Liberty does have a vacuum leak that needs to get fixed first, but that should not be a show stopper. - Tom |

Hey, over on jeepkj, there is some discussion about getting AZVJC involved. Any objections to that? I don't care unless its guys in full blown rock buggies. |

In my opinion, I think its a great idea to get the different groups together on a run. You mentioned not wanting to have the rock-buggies come along. I completely disagree, though. We need to showcase what Liberty's are capable of to the hardcore folks whenever possible. They realize what Liberty's CAN'T do, but they have no clue what they CAN do. Every run we've been on where there have been good obstacles and hardcore spectators looking on has been an eye opener for them. On the FITS run in January we even received kudos from NAXJA - the Cherokee group - for even trying the hard lines. We also need to demonstrate that we practice Tread Lightly, etc. I recommend bringing a box of trash bags and handing them out to all the drivers before the run, then making a point to stop and clean up an area. To run together makes our clubs stronger, and promotes the camradery that 'wheeling is really about. That being said, when the hardcore guy snaps an axle, be the first to pull him out - just make sure someone takes pictures. Todd |

Todd I agree with the hardcore wheeling thing, but I believe the CK run or FITS would be a better example than on the easier going run that we are doing. |

The the hardcore thing is a mute point as there is nothing tough about either Four Peaks Rd, or the Apache Trail. I could be wrong, but I would be surprised if the built rigs would even be interested. And, there is really nothing to play on, except one hill climb at the end of Four Peaks Rd to show what a Liberty can do. Both trails are nothing more than a washboard, graded, dirt road with a few ruts thrown in on Four Peaks. 2wd sedans routinely drive the Apache Trail.... |

I always enjoy wheelin w/ anyone who likes it, but as its getting last minute, lets stick to the plan. AZVJC folks are welcome but id like to keep the trip simple. Side Note: Pablo, i have a crd and am thinking of getting the frankenlift, i was told to get Al's A-arms to help w/ the lift, if you have any advice or pitfalls please let me know. Can i expect CV-boot pinching as well? Did you lift it b4 or after the new springs ect vers of Frankenlift for CRD was introduced? |

I guess I am lucky. I would call All-J's and talk it over with them, as I am not the expert. I posted my pics of the rubbing here--> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2662913 |
