Not sure - I'll check around. I haven't heard of them before...

He has some WAY cool looking roof racks that he makes custome and sends out on a freakin greyhound bus, and at great prices too!

Just found out he is in Flagstaff,

anybody in Flagstaff?

I have a reason for my asking.

I want a fellow Lost member to visit with him and see about using his or her KJ as a model for him when I send some measurements for a rack. see if he can use a LOST KJ and see what I am asking him to produce.

A bit far for a quick day trip out to Flagstaff. besides once other KJ's see his racks he will be building a few, I think.

Woody,
Check with JJ and Lilmatty, they both bought racks from a guy in Flagstaff off of EBAY. From the few pics on the website, it looks like the same guy. I remember the artic-cat. Cant imagine too many rack makers in Flag. Wish I could help you buy driving up there, but it's way too far north for me.

hope that helps,
mike

Yeah after looking at the site more, i am almost positive it's the same guy. I've seen them on JJsKJ's and Lilmatty's and they looked good. I know JJ got All-J to build some custom feet so it didn't have to be mounted to the roof rails. not too bad of pricing either.

I bought one from him through Ebay but I made the mounting for it and All J copied my mount for their conferr racks. I was very happy w/ the rack once I put some sheet metal on the corners because w/out it the howling from it was unbearable. Nanette now has my rack on her KJ and it is still working fine.

Thats so funny that you mentioned Blackout.. I have been in contact with him as well to make me a custom low profile rack. here is what he quoted me:

I'll quote you on my standard design racks:

I can build you a 48" X 48" X 4" rack for $275.00 + $65.00 Greyhound shipping = $340.00.

I can build you a 52" X 40" X 4" rack for $245.00 + $65.00 Greyhound shipping = $310.00.

Adding mesh to either of those will run $175.00. It's a real PITA and I weld every cut around the perimeter to make sure there's no sharp edges and every 2" or so in teh field to keep the rattling down.

As far as the mounts go I'm sure I can do it but I'll need some pictures and measurements to figure it out. It will probably end up somewhere in the $150.00 range by the time it's done.

Let me know what you think.
