Halloween is just around the corner. ( That in itself it scary  ) Mark your calendars for this years Trick or Jeep, scheduled for October 20th. This year we will be running the Crown King Trail. We will once again be camping, (I will post camping info in post to come) and having a chili feed that evening. For those who missed out last year, everyone brings enough chili to feed their party and we mix it in a large pot. Everyone also brought a side (corn chips, cheese, bread etc.) and we had a great feast. Delicious!!
Last year we had only one brave soul dress in costume. This year I'm hoping I can convince all of you to either put yourself or your Rig in costume. Yes you heard me right. Be creative and try and dress your Rig!!!! I'm not much for tricks but I have a few other treats up my sleeve. Hope to see you there!!!

HAHA, Aquateen... That would be awesome!!! I have to put in for time off so hopefully I can get it or get someone to trade me days or something. I will see what I can come up with for the KJ for a costume.

You could just get a big beach ball, paint it red and put some big 'googly eyes' on it and call it meatwad...

Think I'll dress mine up as a grocery-getter 8)

Hey glad to hear the imaginations are going. I have started on Rubys costume so she'll be incognito.
Campgrounds on the mountain are unfortuneatly closed so have decided to camp at Lake Pleasant. If we can get at least ten rigs to commit we can rent the group camp, otherwise we'll just do like last year and try to get sites in same proximity. Looking forward to seeing you all there

I'm in for camping!

Now, will it be in the trailer or the boat? Hmmmm :?:

I am very interested in the camaraderie of this trip, but I am not confident enough in my two years of driving experience to take my DD on this trip. However, if no one would have any major complaints, I am considering going with a friend of mine on the Polaris ATVs for an overnight excursion. We would figure out loading/unloading, parking, etc on our own and the ATVs are entirely street legal and insured. This trail is a lot of fun on ATVs as well and scouting, photo taking, etc would be great also.

First - I'm not going to make it on this one. :(

We are going to Rocky Point for the Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers show instead. :D http://www.azpeacemakers.com/circusmexicus/index.php

DesertKJ, you can make it in a stock KJ - it just takes some careful spotting and some rock stacking (remember to unstack afterwards!).

However, the ATV's sound fun as well! Sounds like you'll end up doing a lot of picture taking and spotting for everyone if that's the case.

Sounds like you've done this before on ATV's - if not the trail is REALLY dusty...

Todd

Yeah. Right now, I'm planning on taking the ATV. I just prefer to stick to the very easy stuff in the Jeep and use the Polaris on the technical stuff. It's just less stressful. I'm still working out a tow rig though.....

As far as dust, I'm used to playing tailgunner. I have quite a bit of experience riding in dust clouds in convoys LOL.

If I don't make it to the Roger Clyne concert in Mexico as well then I will be on the trail with you all. Would it be okay if my dad came with his CJ? If we come then we are in for camping as well.

So do like Tom (renstock) did last year and bring a can of Hormel or whatever and throw it in the pot. I'll be making another batch this year (smaller than last year) to bring with me.

I'm in, although I'll be Mary-less. I'm eager to try the run again now that I am lifted and have real tires  .

Oh, and I make a pretty good chili. And I've been known to make cornbread.
