Kudos to the organizational skills of the Dyna-folks! I mean, props and everything.

I don't know what was going on, but there were lots of balloons around I-10 and highway 74:

A good turnout, even with several last minute cancellations (Dudes! Where are your priorities?)

Some of the more imaginative actually dressed up their Jeeps - signcutter21's Jeep here has chickenpox or something:

...and the Dyna-team's own Jeep - the fairlead and bit of cable always make me think the shark has a cigar in his mouth:

But, ya know, there are trails to be run, and any picture that includes undercarriage is a good one. Roachman3700 takes the optional obstacle:

signcutter21 a little further up that same obstacle:

Climbing the last bit of the trail before Crown King:

We made good time - from highway 74 to Crown King in about 5 1/2 hours, including lunch. Then we headed back to the campground at Lake Pleasant, had schizophrenic chili and hung out around the campfire watching the 10 lane superhighway of a boat ramp:

Jeeps at sunset:

Russ... nice pics, looks like you had a great time. Thanks for posting. If memory serves me correctly, there is at least one more obstacle like the one you posted. Did any of the KJ's beside Signcutter21 get up them? What about the ledge, any pics of that one? You ought to post over on the other site too.

Any 'stock' KJ's on that run? If not, do you think we could of made it (not counting the obstacles, we would of took the by-pass)?

Oh, the hot air ballons... that's a common weekend sight in that area. Try driving up some Saturday morning when everyones leaving town and all the rubber neckers are qawking at them....

Thanks, we had a great time! Unfortunately not many pictures - too busy driving, we hardly stopped at all. There are two or three optional sections, and none of the other KJs even tried.

Not on this run, but we did this trail back in June when we were stock and we made it with lots of spotting help. Put a couple of dents in the tranny crossmember, but otherwise unharmed. That was also the first real trail I had ever done offroad, so I'm sure you could have made it without any trouble.

Oh, and yes - my back window was the window regulator. The plastic sheath and totally broken up and the cable had snapped. On the way to the dealer to have them replace it under warranty, the other rear window regulator went out as well! They replaced them both.

Even though I was the only person on the trip that doesn't own a Jeep, I had a great time as a passenger. Great trail, great group to ride with, and great food and fun. I look forward to riding with your group in the future. Hopefully next time I will have a Jeep of my own to romp along.

Hey guys. Thanks everyone for making it a great weekend! It was nice to meet some new people. Hope our trails cross again. Where else can you share a trail with a Jamaican, a pirate and all the while being haunted by a shark and a LKJ :?

PS..Skube says thanks to you Vern for hauling around her ramp all day. She couldn't have made it without you
