It has only happened to me a couple of times...you walk into a place ready to spend money and the owner says, "Before you spend money try 'x' and maybe you won't have to spend all that money". Is there anything more trust building than NOT jumping on an opportunity to take some easy money?

The short of it is: Joe was great. And when I've wheeled the new TJ a few times and taken notes there won't be anyone else I'll consider to do whatever work I decide I need.

Thanks to everyone who suggested Absolute Offroad.

Now that right there is a great way to do business - show 'em how to fix stuff the easy way so they have more money to spend on mods 8)

Glad to hear there is at least one decent shop here in the valley. I may have to see what he wants for an alignment. Thanks for posting Seth!

Dynamike, Joe said he remembered you....Travis too...thx again

Kevin, no problem! Trading good information is what we're all here for right :-) It seems I've learned as much about wheelin' from L.O.S.T. as I have from actually bein' on the trail.

UPDATE: Dropped off the buggy this morning to have a couple of seals replaced and a Currie steering system installed. Neither happened. The seals I thought were leaking weren't. The seal that is leaking requires taking the tranny apart (work Absolute Offroad doesn't do). And finally...I find out that Currie doesn't make anything that'll fit the Wagoneer Dana 44 I have up front. So I saved a few hundred bucks and learned a few things but I wouldn't mind having back the two hours of Phoenix rush hour traffic!!

Ah well...money saved for the lockers I need in the rear! :P
