Florence Run

We'll be doing Box Canyon (Wells #55), going in off Price Road and parts of two other trails. As we exit Box Canyon, we'll pick up the trail for Martinez Cabin (Wells #52) and have lunch at the cabin. From there we'll back track a little and head down to the Gila River, picking up Walnut Canyon (Wells #57). The trail ends on Hwy 177, just a few miles southeast of Superior.

All three trails are rated Moderate... you should have skids and tow hooks.

It's been a few years since we've ran those trails, so if anyone wants to jump in and lead, that's okay with me. If not, we'll find our way out... we always do.

Edit: Kevin stepped up and said he would lead this one (he must of ate too much dirt on the last run... LOL).

Date: Feb 23
Time: 0800
Roll Out: 0830
Meet: Price Road and Hwy 79 Florence, AZ
Length: All Day
CB: channel 4
FRS: channel 4-1

Please gas up in Florence and get whatever supplies you forgot to bring before showing up at the trail head, thanks.

I'm not gonna make it, bummer. I took a snow day (actually weekend) at sunrise ski park last weekend so I didn't get my chores done like I had planned. Now I gotta stay home and buckle down. Don't give up on my tho'. I will be out again soon. Now that ski season is winding down I'll have less distractions.

Well it looks like this AZ LOST KJ club's members are always planning great runs and they sound like it can be a lot of fun!
I was lurking at KJ Country and see that continued enthusiasm there and it trills me to no end. I especially like that link Jeepexpeditions.org and their group camping, group concept.
I bought the Liberty for the diesel engine and fell into this happiness of Jeep club camaraderie and such.
But now I am at the learning/ growing and improving and into the modding stage of this great Jeep experience and this CRD I got myself into. And this is all thanks to this great LOST KJ website.
------
What I am saying is I have now got a list of mods going into the Liberty that have all bunched up on me in a woosh! And I am saying I truly would love to make the Florence run but alas, I cannot. With rather extensive mechanical experience, I have decided to do all I can on my own from front hitch installation to skids' install, various electronics install, several CRD mods including a from-scratch build of the SEGR, and getting set up for a lift pump/ fuel manager mod and much more, I need time to do this and it can only be on the weekend.
------
Have fun fellas and you will be seeing me around, I promise!!

Roland
